Dare To Dream

Upcycling project utilising two class 142 train carriages as a library and wellbeing room for primary school pupils.

The redundant 1980’s carriages were shipped by low loaders to the school and offloaded onto a section of pre-installed railway track.

Whilst retaining as much of the existing train as practical the carraiges will recieve upgraded insulation, new heating, electric, detection and ventilation systems and have ease of access via a new compliant ramp and platform to ensure they satisfy building control requirements.

Seating and fittings will be recycled and combined with new ones to create a unique, colourful and functional library space and wellbeing hub to be used and enjoyed by the staff, pupils and members of the community.
