Enhanced Learning Unit Durham

New enhanced learning base providing a state-of-the-art resource for Greenland Community Primary School site of Stanley Learning Partnership Multi Academy Trust. The main focus of the unit is to facilitate inclusive education for the children that cannot be met in a traditional classroom environment.

The building is of simple form and consists of 2 dedicated classrooms, teaching hub and sensory room.  Each room has large opening doors leading out onto an external play space covered by a veranda helping to control solar gain.

As the building is electrically heated higher levels of insulation have been incorporated in the fabric with heat recovery units being used in the ventilation system.
